Which pace should I plan for?
Rehearsed presenters tend to land near 130 words a minute. Nervous presenters speed up, which is why the fast column exists. If you are writing a talk, script, or wedding speech, plan against the average column and leave a little slack for pauses, laughter, and the slide that refuses to advance.
